Job Description
OCES Protective Service Dept is expanding to 11 more towns including Quincy, Braintree, Weymouth etc. OCES supports elders and individuals with disabilities by providing vital information and coordination of services. By promoting healthy, save lives for our consumers, we hope to allow them to stay as active and engaged in their lives and in their own communities for as long as possible. To that end we are seeking a Protective Services Supervisor to provide direct oversight of OCES' Protective Services and Money Management Program staff.
What you will do:
Review reports of abuse to determine response and distribute to staff for investigation. Assure compliance with Executive Office of Elder Affairs' (EOEA) regulations and instructions. Assign, review, evaluate, and approve the work of Protective Services and Money Management Program staff. Provide case specific supervision to staff to ensure timely and appropriate service response in situations involving abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation. Develop and implement training for PS and MMP staff, other OCES staff and community agencies to foster collaboration. Provide unit coverage in the absence of another Supervisor.What you will bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field. Master's Degree preferred. Social Work License preferred. Three years of social service experience including two years involving crisis intervention. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills .
