Sales Account ManagerJob Overview We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Account Manager to build and grow client relationships while driving new business and revenue within an assigned territory. This role combines B2B sales, account management, relationship development, and business growth . The ideal candidate is a confident sales professional who enjoys working directly with business owners and decision-makers, identifying opportunities, presenting solutions, and building long-term client partnerships. The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for managing existing accounts while proactively developing new business opportunities to expand market presence and achieve sales objectives. Responsibilities Develop and manage a portfolio of business accounts within an assigned territory. Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, decision-makers, and key stakeholders. Prospect for new business through networking, referrals, cold outreach, community involvement, and other lead-generation strategies. Identify client needs and recommend solutions that align with their business and employee needs. Conduct professional sales presentations, product demonstrations, and consultations. Manage the complete sales process from initial prospecting through presentation, negotiation, and closing. Develop existing accounts through ongoing relationship management, account reviews, and additional product opportunities. Maintain accurate records of prospects, accounts, sales activities, and pipeline opportunities using CRM tools. Monitor territory activity, sales performance, and market opportunities to identify areas for growth. Provide responsive post-sale service and ongoing account support to strengthen client relationships and encourage long-term retention. Consistently achieve or exceed established sales and revenue objectives. Collaborate with sales and leadership teams to share best practices and contribute to overall team growth. Stay informed on market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity within the assigned territory. Qualifications Proven experience in B2B sales, outside sales, account management, business development, or a related sales environment. Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop relationships, and close new business. Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to identify customer needs and effectively communicate the value of products and solutions. Experience managing a sales pipeline and maintaining accurate customer records in a CRM system. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and opportunities. Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while maintaining accountability for results. Goal-oriented with a strong desire to grow revenue and develop long-term client relationships. Professional presence and confidence when working with business owners and decision-makers. Prior experience managing a territory or book of business is preferred. Leadership or sales management experience is a plus for candidates interested in future advancement opportunities. Industry-specific experience is helpful but not required.
