This is a senior, client-facing role for someone who has owned a large, concentrated retail account relationship and is comfortable operating with full autonomy and decision authority, not in a supporting or escalation-first capacity. Key Responsibilities Account Ownership & Buyer Relationship Own the buyer relationship end-to-end, leading buyer meetings, negotiations, and order management directly Build and maintain buyer-side credibility and trust at a senior, strategic level Account Strategy & Growth Own overall account strategy: where the relationship is headed, where risk is building, and where there is room to expand within the account Identify and escalate structural risk to the relationship (share loss, competitive encroachment, program changes) early, with a clear point of view on response Cross-Functional Leadership Set SKU goal strategy against volume targets and licensor commitments, translating cross-functional input into a coherent account plan Set cross-functional direction with Creative, Product Development, and Sales Operations & Pricing to keep the pipeline and assortment strategy on track, with full ownership of day-to-day decisions Negotiation & Executive Representation Represent Magenta at the executive/strategic level in account negotiations, partnering with Sales Operations & Pricing on deal terms Pipeline & Reporting Track opportunities, orders, and customer communications in the CRM Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and sales forecasts Coordinate internally on pricing, product availability, and fulfillment Success Metrics Account relationship is stable or growing, with no unplanned share or program loss and credible progress on any identified expansion opportunity

• Cross-functional teams (Creative, Product Development, Pricing) treat this role as the clear, final decision-maker on account priorities Assortment and development process runs on a predictable, well-managed cadence, with visible improvement in the underlying pipeline Minimum Qualifications Experience owning a large, concentrated retail account relationship at a strategic, client-facing level (ideally with a major off-price or big-box retailer) Track record operating with full autonomy and decision authority, not in a supporting or escalation-first capacity Strong cross-functional leadership across creative, production, and pricing functions Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Highly organized with strong pipeline management abilities Experience using CRM systems Thrives in a fast-paced, reactive environment Preferred Qualifications Prior buyer-side or retail experience Licensed consumer products or housewares experience Additional Qualifications Experience selling consumer products, home goods, ceramics, giftware, or housewares Experience selling to retail buyers at national or regional retailers Existing relationships with retail buyers or distributors Experience presenting product lines, catalogs, or showroom collections Experience working with licensed brands or private label programs Location & Travel Remote, West Coast. Candidates must be physically based in CA, AZ, NV, WA, or OR. This role requires periodic in-person availability for buyer meetings and showroom visits (approximately 6-10 times per year).
