Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Account Representative , will be responsible to ensure that freight is picked up, transported, and delivered on time to meet and/or exceed our client's expectations. Candidates must be available to work: Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm
Responsibilities:
Handle all incoming Open Deck rates from the sales team. Email response time must be within 10 minutes. Provide quotes within 25 minutes max with the exception of anything that is Over Dimensional / remote location. Negotiate the rates with the carriers Document win/loss of all rates request that come in on an Excel Spreadsheet. The Spreadsheet will be reviewed on a weekly basis. Connect via email or phone with transitioned accounts and source for new opportunities Keep win/loss report of all opportunities generated from the transitioned accounts. The report will be reviewed on a semi-weekly basis. Source a provider and ensure the latter is vetted and meets the company's standards. Be the principal point of contact to our key accounts Provide daily updates to customers whilst updating the company's operating system. Manage, track and trace time sensitive orders. Ensure all documentation needed is collected and distributed to the concerned parties. Assisting in resolving customer issues relating to freight transportation Upload all necessary documentation into the system to allow the billing process to commence.
Requirements:
2 years of experience in logistics (3PL) required 2 years of experience with Open Deck shipments Must be able to work in a fast pace environment Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Strong verbal communication skills and confident handling phone conversations Ability to manage multiple projects Detail-oriented Excellent English communication skills We offer a competitive base salary + benefit package Should this opportunity be of interest to you and you meet all the requirements, please send us your resume, it will be a pleasure to speak to you.
