Chantler Transport is a leading transportation and logistics provider, specializing in providing high-quality, reliable services. We are a Canadian based company with a terminal in Laredo TX. We pride ourselves on our customer-first approach and our dedicated, dynamic team. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a US Brokerage/Customer Service Representative .
Job Summary :
The US Brokerage/Customer Service Representative will play a crucial role in managing relationships with our clients and ensuring the seamless coordination of shipments across the United States. This role combines customer service and brokerage, requiring excellent communication skills, problem-solving ability, and an understanding of transportation logistics.
Key Responsibilities :
Handle inbound customer inquiries related to shipments, tracking, and brokerage services. Input new customer orders into fleet management system Provide timely updates and resolve issues related to transportation and logistics. Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure successful deliveries. Process orders, handle rate quotes, and manage shipment documentation accurately. Negotiate rates with clients and vendors, ensuring profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction. Assist in the management of customer accounts and ensure excellent ongoing relationships. Address customer complaints or issues promptly and work to resolve them efficiently. Ensure compliance with all regulations and company policies related to transportation and logistics.
Qualifications :
Previous experience in brokerage, customer service, or transportation logistics is highly preferred. Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities. Knowledge of the transportation industry, including US customs and regulations, is a plus. Detail-oriented and organized, with strong problem-solving abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus.
