The Inside Account Manager will manage a sales territory of existing customers that provides growth consistent with strategic goals. As the Inside Account Manager, the person will be responsible for establishing strong relationships via phone, identify and close additional business opportunities. Ideal candidate will be self-motivated, personable, and an ambitious individual who can quickly learn a complex business. Description of Primary Responsibilities Manage a high volume of small accounts and occasionally support field sales. Learn Nexeo segments and product offerings to position the company as a solution based on technical, industry, and market information. Meet and exceed territorial sales goals on a monthly and quarterly basis through developing and expanding existing customer base. Establish strong relationships with current customers through inbound calls, outbound calls, and written channels. Drive sales through pre-calling, post call analysis, and follow-up communication to customers. Introduce new material to customers and provides education on use of applications. Calculate quotes and negotiate price, delivery, and terms of sale. Collaborates with multiple internal departments to ensure exceptional customer experience. Manage an assigned geographic territory with regard to 'bottom line' growth. Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience & Skills) Associate's degree or relevant experience. 1-2 years of demonstrated solution-based selling and quota achievement in a complex fast moving sales environment a plus. Relationship selling/consultative sales experience a plus. Able to establish strong working relationships and able to persuade/influence others. Able to adapt to changing priorities, responsibilities, and business needs within a short timeframe. Demonstrated success in customer service and/or sales. Demonstrated solid communication skills, both oral and written. General Distribution, plastics, and/or chemical knowledge a plus. Experience with SalesForce.com, manufacturing, distribution, and business to business (B2B) sales a plus Nexeo Plastics is an equal opportunity employer.
