Your technical acumen and customer-facing skills will enable you to effectively represent AWS within a customer's environment and drive discussions with senior leadership regarding incidents, trade-offs, support, and risk management. You will provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help plan and build solutions using best practices, and proactively keep your customers' AWS environments operationally healthy. The close relationships developed with your customers will allow you to understand their business and operational needs and technical challenges, and help them achieve the greatest value from AWS. This position will require the ability to travel 10% or more as needed. The TAM is the centerpiece of value to our National Security customers. This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. Key job responsibilities- Serve as the principal technical advisor for National Security customers, providing proactive guidance on AWS best practices across architecture, operations, and security
- Craft and execute strategies to drive customer adoption and optimization of AWS services
- Drive discussions with senior customer leadership regarding incidents, trade-offs, risk management, and operational health
- Proactively monitor and maintain the operational health of customer AWS environments, identifying risks before they become issues
- Build deep, trusted relationships with customer technical teams and leadership to understand their business needs and deliver tailored solutions
- Advocate internally on behalf of customers, acting as the "voice of the customer" to AWS service and support teams
- Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Support Engineers, and Service Teams to resolve complex technical challenges A day in the life On a typical day, you may start with a proactive operational review of your customers' AWS environments, identifying trends or risks that need attention.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or 2+ years of technical work experience
- 2+ years of technical engineering experience
- Experience informational technology operations
- Experience building strategic relationships with stakeholders, including communicating and collaborating across teams and functions
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Serve as the primary technical advisor for our Enterprise customers Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead
- 5+ years of communicating with and presenting to executive and senior audiences experience
- Experience with development in a distributed systems environment
- Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment
- Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings
- Experience recognizing a challenge and working with a variety of teams and data sources to diagnose the problem and recommend solutions
- Experience with AWS services and/or other cloud offerings Federal/DoD Clearances
