Job Description
Overview The Hotel Sales Manager is responsible for generating new business opportunities and increasing hotel revenue through aggressive outside sales efforts, prospecting, relationship building, and account management. This position focuses on identifying, soliciting, and securing new corporate, association, government, sports, SMERF, and local business accounts that drive guest room revenue, meeting space utilization, and food and beverage sales for Delta Hotels Burlington and Duke's Public House. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated sales professional who enjoys being in the field, networking, cold calling, and developing long-term customer relationships. Responsibilities Outside Sales & Prospecting Conduct a minimum of 20-25 outside sales calls per week. Generate new business through cold calls, networking events, referrals, LinkedIn outreach, and sales blitzes. Develop and execute a weekly prospecting plan targeting local and regional accounts. Schedule and conduct site tours for prospective clients. Attend local chamber events, trade shows, industry functions, and networking opportunities. Identify new market segments and revenue opportunities for the hotel. Account Development Build relationships with key decision-makers within corporate, government, association, healthcare, education, sports, and social organizations. Manage a portfolio of existing accounts while aggressively pursuing new business. Conduct regular account reviews and business development meetings. Maintain detailed account activity and sales pipeline information in Marriott sales systems and CRM tools. Revenue Generation Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual room night and revenue goals.

Community Engagement Represent Delta Hotels Burlington and Duke's Public House within the local business community. Establish partnerships with local businesses, venues, attractions, and organizations. Participate in community events that generate awareness and sales opportunities. Sales Administration Maintain accurate sales activity records. Prepare proposals, contracts, and presentations. Respond promptly to leads and inquiries. Participate in weekly sales meetings and forecast reviews. Maintain Marriott brand standards and sales procedures. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent hospitality sales experience. Minimum 2 years of hotel sales experience. Proven success in outside sales, prospecting, and business development. Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Marriott sales experience. Experience with CI/TY, Marriott systems, and hotel CRM platforms. Knowledge of the Burlington and Vermont business market.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
