Full-time position The Hoarding Marmot is seeking adventure-driven outdoor enthusiasts to join our crew! If you are passionate about sustainable gear and inspiring others to explore the wild, we want you on our team. Core Responsibilities Lead the charge on our digital platforms! You'll mentor and collaborate with our Social Media Associate to curate a vibrant, diverse presence across Instagram, Facebook, and beyond, ensuring our community stays inspired and connected. Master our content strategy. You'll oversee the social media roadmap and schedule, keeping our storytelling consistent and engaging so our followers never miss a beat. Works closely with the Owner to brainstorm fresh advertising ideas and marketing strategies. Meets monthly to review monthly and seasonal marketing goals. Be the voice of the Marmot! Ensure our community is the first to know about big shop news - from legendary sales and holiday hours to important policy updates Take the lead on our favorite Marmot events! You'll facilitate and energize events like First Fridays and make the shop a hub for outdoor enthusiasts. Represent us at local events. You'll be our face at major local events like Ski Swaps, the Solstice Tree Tour, and the Merry Marmot Festival, celebrating the outdoor lifestyle we love. Champion the causes that matter. You'll manage and facilitate donations to local organizations, strengthening our roots in the community that supports us. Collaborate with the Owner to ensure our keystone items and areas of the store get the spotlight they deserve, from event presence to multi-media storytelling that connects us with fellow adventurers. When you're not out conquering marketing goals, you'll be a key player on our sales floor, teaming up with our floor leads to keep the shop buzzing. Get the inside scoop on our shop flow! You'll master the essentials, from gear intake, pricing, to operating the cash register, retail restock, and having a basic understanding of the rental shop operations. Required Qualifications 3+ years of retail or customer service experience. Proficiency in social media, particularly Facebook and Instagram. Competency in Google Workspace applications. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Ability to maintain a flexible and consistent full-time schedule. Strong problem-solving and communication skills to support shop operations. Preferred Qualifications Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing or Communications. 1+ years of experience in a marketing, communications, or related role. Experience with graphic design. Experience using Meta Business Suite and Ads Experience with Google Ads Experience in outdoor recreation (Alpine/Nordic skiing, snowboarding, backcountry skiing, mountaineering, ice climbing, rock climbing, kayaking, packrafting, climbing, backpacking, etc…) Prior experience in a supervisory role.
