Pay:

$12 per hour, based on experience Hiring Immediately! We're looking for someone to start ASAP This is a job to only work the Farmer's Market on Saturdays! This position will go through December with possiblity of extension. Candidates will be required to undergo and successfully pass a background check as part of the hiring process.

We're looking for a dependable and enthusiastic individual to help with farmers markets. Dependability is crucial , as this role requires early mornings and a strong commitment to our market schedule.

Job Description:

We are seeking an individual who is reliable, punctual, and ready to be up early for our farmers market every Saturday . This role will involve supporting our Tuscaloosa & Northport farmers market locations. As our Farmers Market Attendant , you will be a vital part of our team, ensuring everything runs smoothly at the market.

Responsibilities:

Arrive by 5:30 AM every Saturday to assist with market setup and preparation. (Time will vary based on market needs but prepare for early mornings) Assist with setting up and breaking down our booth at the farmers market. Greet and serve customers, providing information about our products. Organize and display baked goods to ensure a visually appealing presentation. Handle cash, card transactions, and manage sales. Assist with weekly bakery prep, including baking, packaging, and organizing supplies. Help track inventory and restock products as needed. Maintain a clean and organized market booth. Assist with pop-up events and special market days as needed.

Requirements:

Must be reliable and punctual , with the ability to arrive by 5:30 AM every Saturday . Dependability is the most important aspect of this role. Experience in customer service (farmers market, sales, retail or food-related business preferred). Passion for baked goods —whether you love baking them or just love eating them (no judgment, we get it!). Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Comfortable working outdoors and in a fast-paced environment. Reliable transportation to and from the market. Flexibility with hours, especially on weekends. Strong communication and organizational skills. Previous experience in baking or food prep is a plus.

Bonus Skills:

Social media knowledge (Instagram, TikTok, etc.) to help with content creation and promotion.

Compensation & Schedule:

Paid weekly Approximately 7-10 hours per week $12 per hour Opportunities for growth based on performance
