FUNCTIONS
The Multimedia Marketing Coordinator is responsible for "telling our story" by creating and producing high-quality, engaging multimedia content that supports district communications, marketing, and engagement efforts. This role focuses on video production, photography, and digital storytelling to promote student success, staff excellence, and district initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, stay current on current trends and possess creative agency.
TASKS:
Create and curate engaging and informative content that highlights the mission and initiative of SUSD across multiple platforms: website, social media, video, photography Capture and produce video and photography content across district sites and events Collaborate with Communications team to execute strategic content plans Support district campaigns related to enrollment, recruitment, and community engagement Assist with management and growth of digital platforms (social media, website) Provide multimedia coverage of district events and programs Maintain organized digital media library Monitor social media trends and implement appropriate strategies to increase engagement and followership Stay current with industry trends and best practices in content creation, social media management, and digital marketing Assist in the planning and, promotion, and execution of events organized by the department Other duties as assigned

Strong storytelling and visual communication skills Strong eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines Strong collaboration and communication skills Creative problem-solving, adaptability and organizational skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Travel to school sites and district events required Occasional evening/weekend work

QUALIFICATION
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field 2�4 years of relevant experience in multimedia production or digital marketing Proficiency in video editing and photography tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, or similar) Experience creating content for social media platforms
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in K�12 education or public sector communications Bilingual (English/Spanish) Knowledge of accessibility standards for digital content
