Job Description
SUMMARY Overview of the positionThe Sports Marketing Coordinator helps support product marketing initiatives through various channels including advertising, sponsorships, events, promotions, contests, sales solicitations, catalogs, website updates, social media posts, influencer marketing, and videos. This individual must be an excellent communicator, outgoing and positive, well organized, tech savvy, and detail orientated.
Develop and deliver marketing campaigns that drive education and growth to accomplish company goalsIdentify new media, advocacy and partnership/collaboration opportunities to support product launches and manage the day-to-day relationship and asset distributionCoordinates creative materials and production to support sales and marketing initiativesAssists with marketing support at all trade shows and events while acting as a company representative.
Assists with online marketing and social media initiatives.
Coordinates marketing-related campaigns for both online, print, and out of home.
Use deep knowledge of brand and product to develop and deliver unique and creative ideas to activate campaigns, product launches, events, in a unique way to communicate key points. Researches, organizes and maintains internal and external marketing inventory, including promo items, sales incentives, event supplies, etc.
Works closely with brand managers, project managers, and legal team to secure necessary legal and licensor approvals for solicitations and advertising materials.
Collaborate with Content, Digital Marketing, and Sports Marketing Team to create fresh content that highlights Upper Deck athletes, celebrates their milestones and markets existing and upcoming productAssists with creation and editing of marketing related videos.
Assists with the execution of sponsorship assets and acquisitions.
Coordinates contests and promotional sweepstakes programs, including obtaining legal approvals, acquiring and delivering sweepstakes prizes, coordinating related promotional events and interfacing with sweepstakes winners. Coordinates community outreach initiatives and programs. Creates and maintains project flow and ensure delivery of critical deadlines.
Evaluates ROI post campaign and offers recommendations for improvement.
Identify key stories in the collecting community that can be highlighted. INTERACTIONThis position will interact closely with the Marketing Director and Associate Marketing Director, as well as various cross-functional teams, company staff members and external partners.
Ability to move from concepts to concrete expression of ideas.
Strong focus on executing overall marketing objectives and strategies. Knowledge of sports and entertainment, trading card or game industry a plus.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, problem solving, customer service and relationship building abilities.
Strong organizational, editing and proof-reading skills.
Ability to handle multiple, high priority projects with keen attention to detail. Ability to act as company representative and interface with internal and external parties at all levels.
Hands on, energetic and motivated self-starter.
Ability to travel on behalf of the company.
Knowledge of general video creation and editing.

EDUCATION/YEARS
EXPERIENCEBachelors Degree in Business, Marketing or a closely related field or equivalent experience.2+ years of experience in marketing, social media, promotions, advertising or related area.REQUIREMENTS
