Job Description

Farm to school sales Spork food hub exists to create access to food to those who need it most while opening up new markets for farmers. Our main customers are school districts, and state prisons. Our sales position would strengthen relationships with our existing school customers.
The ideal candidate would be:
  • Have sales experience
  • A mission driven person who has a passion for local produce, healthy school lunches and helping farmers create sustainable businesses.
  • Self motivated
  • Flexible - we're growing and stretching in new ways every day!
  • Have a willingness to learn new things
  • Have excellent customer service skills
  • Experience with Excel spreadsheets
  • Experience using Canva to make marketing materials
  • Experience with Excel spreadsheets
  • Be able to travel to customers, experience in public speaking and be comfortable speaking to groups
  • Knowledge of produce, uses, and seasonality
  • Experience working with institutional nutrition programs or schools is plus Job Duties
  • Contact school customers weekly to obtain orders, deepen relationships and promote seasonal items
  • Schedule and implement taste tests at school sites to sample new or seasonal items
  • Travel to customers one or two days a week for taste testing and marketing
  • Develop marketing materials using Canva, for schools and social media, make social media posts
  • Enter weekly orders in LFM and revising invoices as needed Benefits We offer 5 paid days of vacation after one year, 10 days after two years and six paid sick days at the time of hire.

Compensation:
$25-$30/hr DOE
