Job Description

The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools (FLCPS) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), charitable education foundation which enhances and enriches the quality of public education in Lee County for students and educators. The Foundation's programs, resources, and experiences are made possible through corporate, individual, and educational partnerships. Position Overview The Marketing & Development Coordinator at The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools plays a key role in raising community awareness and driving program funding. This position is responsible for building strategic partnerships with local businesses and individual donors, managing multi-channel marketing campaigns, and overseeing end-to-end digital content creation.
Key Responsibilities Development & Community Partnerships:
Partner with the President/CEO and Director of Programs to secure corporate sponsorships and individual donations Build and cultivate long-term relationships with potential donors, local business leaders, and school district partners. Oversee Foundation scholarship coordination Support grant administration with the
Director of Programs Marketing & Content Strategy:
Plan, execute, and monitor integrated marketing strategies to elevate brand visibility, recruit mentors, and boost overall fundraising. Oversee social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), maintaining a unified brand voice and consistent posting schedule. Plan, shoot, and edit short-form videos, photo assets, and graphics optimized for specific digital platforms. Create and manage a monthly content calendar, monitor community engagement, respond to audience comments, and evaluate analytics to refine performance. Design, write, and produce promotional and print collateral, including newsletters, event flyers, invitations, press releases, and website updates.
Program & Event Support:
Collaborate with Foundation program staff on special event planning, promotion, and execution. Perform physical setup and support tasks for events as needed (lifting, layout, vendor coordination). Assist with other organization-wide duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Background Check:
Successful completion of a pre-employment background screening.
Transportation:
Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
Schedule Flexibility:
Ability to work occasional early mornings, later evenings, or occasional weekends for special events and Foundation programs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Technical Proficiency:
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Canva , Network for Good , and Google (Sheets, Docs, Forms)
Communication:
Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage comfortably with small and large audiences.
Organization & Execution:
Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects, prioritizing tasks, and consistently meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Relationship Management:
Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport with community partners, educators, and corporate sponsors.
Analytical Thinking:
Ability to review campaign metrics, perform basic data entry, solve operational challenges, and translate insights into actionable content improvements.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$40,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
