Events Support Associate Columbus Botanical Garden - 4.0 Columbus, GA Job Details Part-time 3 days ago Qualifications Maintaining an organized workspace Schematics Customer service Event vendor coordination Guest services Clean workspace maintenance Equipment inventory management Communication skills Entry level Full Job Description The Columbus Botanical Garden is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Events Support Associate to assist with the execution of both private and public events. This position plays a key role in ensuring events are set up efficiently, run smoothly, and provide a high-quality experience for guests. The role also offers hands-on exposure to event operations and planning.
Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the Events Coordinators and supports the broader events team.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Events Coordinators with the setup and breakdown of all events Execute event setups according to event team schematics, including: o Tables and chairs o Linens o Décor and event elements Support the on-site execution of private rentals and public programs Be present during events to assist with logistics, guest needs, and real-time problem solving Maintain cleanliness and organization of event spaces before, during, and after events Assist with inventory management and organization of event supplies and equipment Provide excellent customer service to guests, vendors, and partners Support coordination with vendors and internal staff as needed
Qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Comfortable problem solving in a fast-paced setting Must be dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented Ability to lift at least 40 pounds Flexible schedule required, including evenings and weekends, as hours are event-based Prior event experience is a plus, but not required
