Job Description

CASA of West Central Illinois Engagement & Office Support Assistant The Engagement & Office Support identifies and recruits CASA volunteers from our service area in accordance with the strategic plan and grant goals. They will also support the CASA office administratively, including assisting with marketing. This position will also participate in a variety of outreach and recruitment activities and community events, fundraising and special events. This is a grant funded 2-year, 20-hour per week position, with the potential for employment beyond the two years, based upon funding.
Qualifications:
The Engagement & Office Support Assistant should have the following skills and experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED, and some college.
  • The ability to work cooperatively with different types of personalities.
  • Highly organized with the ability to assist in planning multiple events at one time.
  • Marketing & social media experience and/or the ability to learn quickly.
  • Commitment to CASA's program goals and mission.
  • Flexibility in scheduling for some evening/weekend events.
ACCOUNTIBILITY
The Event & Office Support Assistant reports directly to the Executive Director, who is responsible for his/her performance evaluations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Complete CASA volunteer training (Preservice).
  • Create flyers, ads, social media posts, etc.
  • Assist in the organization and execution of fundraisers.
  • Secure opportunities for CASA to attend community events. Represent CASA at events.
  • Plan volunteer recruitment events.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings.
  • Keep accurate timekeeping records for payroll and grant reporting.
  • Assist with volunteer appreciation events.
  • Attend conferences/seminars/meetings as requested by the Executive Director.
  • Develop in collaboration with the Executive Director a plan of action for community education and outreach.
  • Execute and implement the recruitment and community outreach portion of the strategic plan and grant goals emphasizing diversity, equity and inclusion for all outreach strategies and activities.
  • Assist in researching speaking engagements.
  • Edit website.
  • Host volunteer information sessions, virtually or in the field in various communities in Knox, Warren, Henderson, McDonough, and Fulton, Il Counties. Candidates must have reliable transportation to attend events.
  • Maintain potential volunteer spreadsheets and calendar of recruitment activities.
  • Reply to inquiries (email, calls, website).
  • Participate in a variety of fundraising and special events, and other community events, as needed.
  • Perform various office duties, including copying, filing, mailings, court filings, data entry, assisting with projects with our community partners, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
