An Event Promotions Marketing Associate plans and organizes event based marketing promotions for business products or services. Organizes events or event-based campaigns that reach targeted audiences directly, in person or online. Assists with planning, publicity and logistics for promotional events.
Typically 5-10, but slightly higher around events, (15 hours for Inspiration retreat; 20 hours for the week of the Makers' Fest).

POSITION SUMMARY
The Student Worker will help organize and implement programs, specifically the Sun-Walking Studio events (Saturdays, once a month, four-six times across the academic year); Inspiration Retreats (usually January) and Makers' Fest Arts Festival (currently scheduled for Saturday, May 22, 2027).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with the Sun-Walking Fellowship team to organize and implement our events (we truly invite collaboration, with ideas from all team members welcome while planning).
Attend Sun-Walking Team meetings (time and date to be determined, based upon everyone's availability)
Organize supplies and equipment for various events (including helping to maintain the Sun-Walking Fellowship supply closet and office shelves)
Set up and tear down for as many events as the students is available (we recognize that our events are often on weekends and we are sensitive to needs; a team approach allows people on the team to be absent from events, to set up for events in advance, and for other team members to take on some duties day-of, with proper notice of absence, and with work in the days prior to make sure an event happens).
Help organize and recruit other, very temporary student workers during the Makers' Fest
MINIMUM SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Curiosity about art, ministry, youth ministry;
Ability to pivot with potential changes and respond with grace in challenging situations;
Willingness to learn new skills and procedures;
Ability to be given a task and work to complete it independently, while also asking for help and clarification when needed;
Good communication with other team members
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Experience in planning and/or implementing events is appreciated
Ability to read, access, and potentially create schedules, excel documents, task lists, etc.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Lifting boxes of materials on and off carts
Setting up art installations, workshops, etc.
