Job Description

Pride Center Peer Liaison Posting Details Position Information Title Pride Center Peer Liaison Position Description The Pride Center at Bridgewater State University is to support LGBTQIA+ students and their peers, and to foster a campus climate of inclusion and equity. Pride Center Peer Liaisons will set the tone for the daily activities in the Pride Center, along with gatherings and events. They welcome visitors/attendees and ensure that all visitors/attendees are included and feel safe and respected while attending programs and events hosted by the Center. Peer Liaisons also connect student visitors/attendees to Pride Center and other campus resources as appropriate. Peer Liaisons will host and promote Pride Center gatherings, meetings, and events as approved by the director. Peer Liaisons may have other duties as assigned.
Eligibility requirements:
Must be a Bridgewater State University undergraduate student registered for a minimum of six credits for the Fall 2026 semester. Preferred Qualifications
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, including but not limited to sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, race and ethnicity, disability, socioeconomic status, citizenship, and religion.
  • Comfort working with and for the benefit of LGBTQIA+ students including asexual, bisexual, gay, intersex, lesbian, nonbinary, pansexual, queer, and questioning students.
  • Strong desire to acquire new knowledge about LGBTQIA+ topics.
  • Friendly and personable, with excellent customer service skills.
  • Reliable, professional, and respectful to all.
  • Event planning and graphic design experience is a plus.
Physical Demands Working at a computer, ability to lift items up to 20 pounds.
