Sales RepresentativeJob Description The Sales Representative plays a key role in driving revenue growth by building and nurturing relationships with prospective and existing customers, identifying organizational needs, and presenting educational products, programs, and services as tailored solutions. This position focuses on consultative sales, account development, customer engagement, and ongoing relationship management to support long-term partnerships and successful program adoption. Responsibilities Develop and manage a robust pipeline of prospective customers through consultative sales and business development activities. Qualify new leads and opportunities to ensure strong alignment with organizational needs and product offerings. Conduct virtual presentations, webinars, and product demonstrations to showcase educational products, programs, and services. Provide clear and accurate information regarding programs, pricing, and services to prospective and existing customers. Utilize CRM tools to track sales activity, document interactions, and manage customer relationships effectively. Identify customer challenges and needs, and align appropriate solutions to support their goals and initiatives. Support achievement of revenue and growth objectives through strategic account development and expansion. Expand relationships with existing customers by identifying opportunities for renewals, upselling, and cross-selling. Generate new business opportunities through proactive outreach, prospecting, and communication strategies. Execute ongoing communication plans with prospects and clients to maintain engagement and strengthen relationships. Prepare pricing information, proposals, and supporting materials as needed for potential and current customers. Develop in-depth expertise in the organization's products, services, and market trends to serve as a knowledgeable resource. Build strong relationships with organizational leaders and stakeholders, including school and district decision-makers. Support customers through implementation, renewals, and ongoing program adoption to ensure successful outcomes. Participate in marketing initiatives, webinars, and training events to promote offerings and support customer education. Collaborate across departments to improve sales processes, customer engagement efforts, and overall service delivery. Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism in all interactions. Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines and performance expectations. Essential Skills Proven experience in consultative sales, business development, or inside sales roles. Demonstrated ability to generate leads, develop and manage a sales pipeline, and qualify and close opportunities. Experience in account management, customer retention, and account growth strategies. Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to build long-term client partnerships and manage stakeholders. Customer service oriented mindset with a focus on meeting and exceeding client expectations. Ability to present solutions that are aligned to customer needs and organizational goals. Strong presentation skills, including delivering virtual presentations, product demonstrations, and webinars. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level communication and facilitation. Comfort discussing training and educational programs with school and district leaders. Ability to clearly explain pricing, services, and implementation strategies. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, and CRM platforms. Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. High degree of professionalism, accountability, and self-motivation. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Education, or a related field. Previous sales experience and/or experience in the education sector is preferred. Experience participating in marketing initiatives, webinars, and training events. Background in customer engagement and stakeholder management within organizational or educational settings. Familiarity with needs-based sales approaches and growth-focused account expansion strategies. Comfort working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Ability to build expertise in products, services, and market trends and apply that knowledge in consultative discussions. Work Environment This role operates in a fast-paced environment within a growing non-profit organization located in Turners Falls, Massachusetts. The position is based on-site with typical working hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, frequently using technologies such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, and CRM platforms to manage communications, presentations, and customer relationships. The setting emphasizes collaboration, professionalism, and a strong customer focus, offering opportunities to participate in webinars, training events, and marketing initiatives while contributing to meaningful educational programs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Turners Falls, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
