Focused on efficiency and quality, the Crew Member engages with guests, assists in event preparations, and facilitates smooth transactions, all of which support the organization in achieving its operational goals and upholding its core values. By actively participating in event setup and teardown, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace, the Crew Member will contribute significantly to strengthening the organization's reputation as a leading destination for events. Their commitment to safety and individual productivity will enhance team efficiency and elevate the overall guest experience, ultimately advancing the organization's mission and vision.
Essential Functions:
Customer Service, Coordination & Collaboration. Greet and assist customers, offering guidance through the facility and event. Create a welcoming atmosphere to ensure all guests enjoy a warm and secure experience during public and private events. Build a positive rapport with guests while assisting with event activities. Engage proactively with guests and team members to ensure seamless operations through events. Assist with event setup and teardown, ensuring efficiency and cleanliness. Provide bar and table service for public and private events. Efficiently handle ticket sales, concessions, and gift shop transactions, as well as customer transactions at festival ticket booths, bars, and merchandise stands. Process daily customer transactions through various systems, including point of sale and phone orders, ensuring a smooth checkout experience. Guide visitors through festivals, field trips, and educational experiences, ensuring a seamless experience. Assist in stocking, merchandising, and maintaining designated areas, including watering, pruning, deadheading, and displaying plants to enhance their appeal. Assemble kits for educational programs and field trips as required. Provide knowledgeable assistance to customers during events, festivals, and workshops, providing recommendations on potting soil, containers, fertilizers, and pest control. Follow daily checklists and complete additional tasks or projects as assigned by department leaders to maintain operational efficiency. Uphold a tidy, safe, and organized workspace to promote the well-being of customers and team members.
Other Duties:
Maintain a clean and organized work area. Assist other departments when asked or needed in tasks such as housekeeping, stocking, merchandising, organization, etc. Other job duties as assigned by the supervisor. Participation in meetings and working festival shifts beyond traditional hours when required.
Knowledge & Skills:
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment. Attention to detail. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to adopt new technologies. Process and procedure-oriented.
Experience/Education:
1+ year of events and hospitality experience. Previous customer service experience a plus. High School Diploma or GED required. Availability on weekends. Must be at least 21+ to serve our pour alcohol.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
Must be able to lift 50lbs (team lifting as necessary); accomplish strenuous work, standing, bending and walking on an ongoing basis. This position will involve hands-on work, focusing on outdoor tasks and interacting with customers. Work is performed primarily outdoors, with exposure to varying weather conditions. The ability to maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm while performing job duties, as well as an understanding of safety protocols, is essential for ensuring both personal safety and the satisfaction of guests.
