The Program Coordinator will be located in the Homeless Services Division, a division of the Department of Human Services. Incumbents coordinate and administer various department programs and/or special projects.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Manages relevant projects through the Asana project management platform. Works with core Code Blue leadership team representatives from the Office of the Mayor, DHS, and the Health Department to advance strategy and action items related to the effort. Assists DHS leadership with completing vital ICS documentation and reports that support day-to-day activities. Coordinates supplies and materials to be used by contracted partners who support the Code Blue effort. Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Program Manager and DHS Director.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Data Utilization:
Requires the ability to perform mid to upper-level data analysis including the ability to coordinate, strategize, systemize and correlate, using discretion in determining time, place and/or sequence of operations within an organizational framework. Requires the ability to implement decisions based on such data, and overseeing the execution of these decisions.
Human Interaction:
Requires the ability to provide guidance, assistance and/or interpretation to others, such as coworkers, program participants and the public, on how to apply policies, procedures and standards to specific situations.
Equipment, Machinery, Tools and Materials Use:
Requires the ability to operate a variety of office equipment such as computer terminal, typewriter, telephone, fax machine, calculator/adding machine, computer printer and photocopier.
Verbal Aptitude:
Requires the ability to utilize a variety of advisory data and information such as financial statements, contracts, credit reports, invoices, budgets, accounting principles, production reports, rules, regulations, statutes, procedures, guidelines and non-routine correspondence.
Mathematical Aptitude:
Requires the ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division; calculate percentages, fractions and decimals.
Functional Reasoning:
Requires the ability to apply principles of influence systems such as leading and coordinating. Ability to exercise independent judgment to apply facts and principles for developing approaches and techniques to problem resolution.
Situational Reasoning:
Requires the ability to exercise the judgment, decisiveness and creativity required in situations involving the evaluation of information against sensory, judgmental and/or subjective criteria, as opposed to criteria that are clearly measurable or verifiable.
Environmental Factors:
Tasks are regularly performed in safe and comfortable surroundings without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
Physical Requirements:
Requires the ability to lift files, papers and other materials weighing up to twenty (20) pounds.
Sensory Requirements:
Requires the ability to recognize and identify similarities or differences between characteristics of colors and sounds to distinguish objects clearly at close and far range to monitor program and computer work. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Sociology, Public or Business Administration, or a related field; plus one year of experience monitoring social service programs. OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

City residents must have resided in the City for at least one (1) year at the time of filing their application to be eligible for the preference points.
