Sales & Marketing Coordinator Big Horn Resort - 5.0 Billings, MT Job Details Part-time $17 - $20 an hour 9 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Customer communication Teamwork Social media marketing Filing Account development Business development Marketing operations Full Job Description Position Summary The Sales & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for driving hotel revenue through group sales, marketing initiatives, and community engagement. This position works closely with hotel operations, front desk staff, and management to secure group business, maximize occupancy, and promote the property through social media and local outreach. The role serves as a key liaison between guests, groups, and hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experience from booking through departure. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Prospect and generate new group, corporate, leisure, and event business. Seek out and develop leads through networking, referrals, community involvement, and direct sales efforts. Conduct sales calls, site tours, and presentations for prospective clients. Respond to group inquiries and prepare proposals, contracts, and room blocks. Negotiate rates and contracts within company guidelines. Maintain relationships with existing accounts and identify opportunities for repeat business. Attend local networking events, trade shows, and community functions to promote the hotel. Group Sales & Coordination Manage all aspects of group room blocks and reservations. Track group pickup, rooming lists, and contract compliance. Monitor group revenue and production reports. Coordinate group arrivals, departures, special requests, and billing requirements. Communicate all group information and requirements to the Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage, and other departments as needed. Ensure accurate and timely distribution of group resumes and event information. Follow up with group contacts before, during, and after each stay. Marketing, Social Media & Community Engagement Manage and maintain the hotel's social media platforms. Create engaging content, promotions, special offers, and community-focused posts. Monitor and respond to social media messages and inquiries. Assist in developing marketing campaigns to increase occupancy and revenue. Coordinate promotional opportunities with local businesses, organizations, and tourism partners. Maintain consistency in the hotel's branding and messaging. Attend 2-3 local Chamber of Commerce or networking events per month to build community relationships and generate leads. Outlet & On-Property Sales Collaboration Work closely with outlet managers to promote and sell The Cove and The Reef to group clients. Identify opportunities to package hotel rooms with food, beverage, and entertainment offerings. Coordinate group dining and event needs with outlet leadership to maximize revenue. Support upselling initiatives for group enhancements, catering, and resort experiences. Systems & Administrative Responsibilities Utilize Choice Advantage and other hotel systems to manage reservations, room blocks, and reporting. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, contracts, and client communications. Track sales goals, production reports, and revenue performance. Prepare weekly and monthly sales and marketing reports. Maintain organized files and documentation for all accounts and group business. Communication & Team Collaboration Work closely with Front Desk staff to ensure all guest and group information is communicated accurately. Participate in department meetings and operational planning. Maintain effective communication with all hotel departments. Support overall hotel operations and guest satisfaction initiatives. Assist management with special projects and revenue-generating opportunities.
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
