Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing various events from conception to completion. This role requires a creative thinker with strong project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders. The Event Coordinator will also leverage marketing strategies to promote events effectively. Duties Plan and coordinate all aspects of events, including logistics, and entertainment. Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses are tracked and reported accurately. Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for event themes and formats. Collaborate with businesses to create promotional materials and advertising campaigns for events. Utilize SEO strategies and analytics tools to enhance event visibility online. Manage event registration processes, including vendor sales and attendee communication. Oversee on-site event execution, ensuring all elements run smoothly and addressing any issues that arise. Gather feedback post-event through surveys or discussions to assess success and areas for improvement.
COMMITTEES
Attend the Board of Directors, Executive, Economic Restructuring, Design, Promotions, Cultural, and Resident Committee Meetings.
PROMOTIONS
Work with our website developer to create content for our website as well as the online events calendar. Create Monthly Business Highlights for our website and social media pages. Create Constant Contact mailings for special events, businesses, and informational material. Monitor our Facebook and Instagram pages. Create posts for social media pages. Share downtown business posts. Qualifications Proven experience in event planning or coordination is preferred. Strong understanding of marketing principles, including advertising, SEO, and marketing automation tools. Proficiency in budgeting and financial management related to event planning. Familiarity with digital platforms such as Google Analytics and WordPress for promotional purposes. Excellent research skills to stay updated on industry trends and best practices. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
