Through a music-driven practice, we exercise the body to engage the mind. Through physical conditioning, we work out mental and emotional behaviors to create new tools for experiencing life. Founded in 2013 by Taryn Toomey, The Class is a wringing out, literally and figuratively, of the body, mind, and soul. This summer, The Class is bringing its signature method, hospitality, and community to Montauk through a seasonal residency designed to foster connection, movement, and shared experience. From Classes to workshops, special events, and community gatherings, we are creating a space where Students can reconnect with themselves, each other, and the energy of summer on the East End. This is a temporary, part-time seasonal position perfect for someone who loves people, hospitality, wellness, and the unique energy of a summer community. If you're the type of person who notices the little things, enjoys creating memorable experiences, and gets excited about being part of something special from the ground up, we'd love to meet you. As a Studio Support Associate, you will help uphold the operational, aesthetic, and energetic integrity of The Class environment through thoughtful hospitality, attention to detail, and hands-on support. You will work closely with Teachers, leadership, and fellow team members to ensure the studio operates smoothly while maintaining the welcoming and emotionally safe atmosphere The Class is known for. Exemplify exceptional customer service by addressing student needs, questions, and concerns promptly and professionally. Help create the warm, welcoming atmosphere that keeps students lingering after Class, making new connections, and returning throughout the summer. Support retail operations, including restocking, merchandising, and maintaining visual standards. Production & Teacher Support Support Teachers with operational and production needs, including music, microphones, props, storage, and troubleshooting when necessary. Partner closely with fellow Studio Support team members to ensure smooth transitions between Classes and events. Assist in maintaining studio presentation and operational flow throughout the day. Communicate operational or production issues clearly and proactively to leadership. Team & Culture Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and team-first environment. Bring positive energy, curiosity, and a community-first mindset to every shift. Adapt to the evolving needs of a seasonal residency environment with flexibility, initiative, and professionalism. Team members may have opportunities for additional hours following the residency to assist with breakdown and wrap-up activities. Qualifications Who You Are You love being around people and thrive in environments where community, hospitality, and connection are at the center of the experience. You are warm, personable, and naturally hospitality-minded. You are the kind of person who notices when a candle needs straightening, a student needs a warm welcome, or a Teacher could use an extra hand. You have an acute attention to detail and care deeply about presentation and experience. You are a proactive, solution-oriented team player willing to roll up your sleeves wherever needed. You thrive in dynamic environments and can adapt quickly to changing operational needs. You have strong communication and customer service skills.
