April 2026 Full Time Reports to Pastor St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Parish in Akron, OH is seeking a full time Marketing and Communications Coordinator for the parish school and church. The position will require weekly and weekend work. Functions of theRole:
The overall job function of the Marketing and Communications Coordinator is to promote parish life in the school and parish by establishing a consistent brand identity for all parish marketing and communications. This is a strategic position that will allow us to reach people who may not be able to attend Mass in person or want to find out about our parish and school before an in- person connection.Job Duties:
(not limited to items below - this will be an evolving role)- Manage website structure and content
- Management and content creation for parish social media including but not limited to Facebook, lnstagram, Youtube and FlockNote
- Manage livestream software used to livestream daily, weekend, Holy Day and special Masses. (Training will be provided)
- Manage and create marketing material for parish newsletter and website.
- Manage information involving all the different committees and commissions.
- Ability to identify problems and suggest solutions for outreach.
- Ability to capture and share videos and photos from Parish events.
- Create a small team of volunteers to train and allow them to run some of the tasks.
- Flexibility to take on new projects and work as assigned and needed
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in communications or working knowledge of social media, website management and relevant software.
- Catholic with solid knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the Catholic Church, its teaching and its culture is preferred.
- Ability to take on responsibility, work independently and in team settings, and be flexible in a continuously evolving environment as additional work and projects are needed.
- Be a creative and strategic thinker in how best to integrate various forms of communication into our overall strategy as a parish.
