The Coordinator of Multimedia Storytelling supports the purpose and core values of the Alumni Association by creating compelling multimedia content to market the organization's various programs and services. This position is responsible for producing content for web, email, social media, print and text, utilizing a variety of voices and methods to speak to the organizations' numerous audiences. The duties and responsibilities described below are the essential functions of the job and are not intended to be all inclusive for this position.
Responsibilities:
Produce multimedia content including videos, podcasts, photography and social media assets Create and execute digital storytelling campaigns across multiple platforms Attend and coordinate multimedia coverage of select alumni and student events Provide additional proofing of written stories, event content, event scripts, press releases, etc. as needed Research trends and demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively with multiple audiences, including Alumni Association members, Legacies, current students and more Create additional content as needed Perform other duties as assigned Organizational Strategy Collaborate with Alumni Association programs to execute communications and marketing plans Maintain goals and objectives by providing marketing data and analytics for Alumni Association programs Respond to email and phone requests for support on the Alumni Association's website and direct other requests to the appropriate staff Provide excellent customer service to all constituents inquiring about Alumni Association programs and events Supports the Alumni Association by having sufficient knowledge of programs and services offered, and professionally represents the organization in a positive manner Effectively organizes and balances tasks and priorities to keep multiple duties on track Work with and provide guidance to student workers Education Bachelor's degree in multimedia communications, marketing, graphic design or related field is required. Experience One to three years of experience in producing multimedia content is required. Additional experience in marketing, communications, journalism or graphic design is preferred.
Skills:
Adaptive design eye and skill Computer literacy in Adobe Creative suite and proficiency with a Mac operating system Experience with multimedia content creation Effective written and oral communication skills Photography, videography and video editing skills are required AP Style knowledge or journalism writing skills is preferred

Work Environment:
The position is in an office setting within the OSU Alumni Center. Events and activities may be held outside so there will be some outdoor exposure. Position requires availability to work nights and weekends as determined by event scheduling. Travel may be required in and out of state.
Physical Demands:
Position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Position needs to be able to transport parcels, packages and other items short distances, and drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up material Position frequently communicates with staff, and must be able to exchange accurate information Frequently move items weighing up to 50 pounds Special Condition for
