Job Description

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is currently searching for a motivated marketing/communications professional to support strategic initiatives by developing content, providing program support, garnering impactful social media engagement, executing multimedia campaigns, and supporting institute events.
Responsibilities include:
Maintain and update web pages and monthly electronic newsletters. Manage member communications. Manage database activity, processing committee applications and roster updates. Assist with the outreach to local chapters, sections, & branches, younger members, and external industry professional organizations. Design graphic communication templates adhering to marketing & brand guidelines. Develop and coordinate email marketing campaigns and annual marketing calendar. Coordinate and manage UESI educational webinar programs. Assisting in the review of analytics and reporting on key metrics and post-conference evaluations. Assist in the development of conference programs and attendee plans, brochures, applications, and other items. Configure and manage the app for UESI conferences. Plan and execute the promotion of conferences and other events. Collect appropriate background information for the development of the sponsorship opportunities and exhibitor prospectuses. Provide on-site support for conferences and events. Work in collaboration to assist sales & marketing with the fulfillment of sponsor and exhibit benefits and concessions.
The ideal candidate will have:
4-year college/university degree or equivalent work experience 2-3 years corporate or association experience with marketing and communications A thorough proficiency with MS Office, Teams & Sharepoint Excellent writing and proofreading skills Demonstrated success using a range of communication and graphic design tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Eloqua, and other email marketing management services Proficiency in professional/organizational technology platforms, digital marketing, and social media best practices A desire and willingness to travel to in-person meetings, conferences, and events The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is a global nonprofit professional membership association dedicated to the advancement of the civil engineering profession in order to serve the public good.
