OVERVIEW
Mayeda Consulting is a women-owned small business providing government and community-based organizations with organizational development services. These services include consulting, staff and leadership training, strategic planning, grant writing, and more. The Digital Marketing & Community Coordinator is a collaborative, cross-functional role that supports Mayeda Consulting's digital presence, community growth, and training program operations. Working closely with the Creative Strategist, Senior Operations Director, and content creators, this role contributes to content production, social media strategy, paid media campaigns, community management, and the project management of training development initiatives. The ideal candidate brings both creative instincts and analytical thinking—comfortable moving between writing a caption, reviewing ad performance data, and keeping a training project on track. Mayeda Consulting is a small startup that requires flexibility as it grows and evolves. Each team member contributes significantly to the success of our mission.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Creation & Social Media — Collaborative Collaborate with the team to develop and execute monthly content calendars across platforms, aligning with marketing goals and audience interests. Co-create, coordinate, schedule, and post content across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, podcasts, blog posts, and our Circle Community. Contribute to the production and editing of social media assets and multimedia content using tools such as Canva and Adobe Express; support graphic design needs in collaboration with the team. Assist with cropping, editing, and managing video and audio files using InShot, CapCut, Splice, or similar tools, optimizing for each platform. Collaborate with podcast producers and the creative team using AI tools and Grammarly to help compile transcripts, captions, descriptions, blog posts, and hashtags. Attend in-person marketing events, team-building activities, or training sessions to capture content. Ensure all assets and captions align with brand guidelines and are submitted for approval before publication. Support copywriting for social posts, email campaigns, and digital content—crafting messages tailored to the Helpers' Community audience.

& Email Marketing Support basic on-page SEO practices, including optimizing blog posts and website content with relevant keywords, meta descriptions, and headings to improve search visibility. Assist with keyword research using tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, or similar platforms to inform content strategy. Coordinate and support email marketing campaigns, including drafting copy, managing send schedules, and tracking open and click-through performance. Help maintain and grow email lists, ensuring contacts are organized and segmented appropriately. Community Management Serve as a primary community manager for the Helpers' Community on Circle, fostering engagement, responding to comments, and facilitating positive member interactions. Monitor social media channels and online community spaces, engaging with members promptly and professionally. Coordinate content and resource management on the Circle platform, including organizing materials, managing member access, and supporting community programming. Support the technical setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of online community profiles and digital membership platforms. Paid Advertising & Conversion Optimization Plan, set up, manage, and optimize paid advertising campaigns across Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google Ads, with a focus on two core goals: lead generation for Mayeda Consulting's consulting and training services, and sign-up growth for the Helpers' Community. Develop and test ad creative, copy, and audience targeting strategies to improve campaign performance and lower cost per lead or cost per acquisition. Build and monitor landing page performance, identifying friction points in the sign-up or inquiry funnel and recommending or implementing improvements to increase conversion rates. Conduct A/B testing on ad creative, headlines, calls to action, and landing page elements to continuously improve CTR and conversion outcomes. Track and analyze key paid media metrics including impressions, CTR, cost per click (CPC), cost per lead (CPL), conversion rate, and return on ad spend (ROAS). Support the development, tracking, and optimization of marketing budgets across paid campaigns and channels, ensuring spend aligns with goals and is reported clearly to leadership. Monitor ad performance regularly and make real-time optimization adjustments—pausing underperforming ads, scaling effective ones, and reallocating budget as needed. Stay current on Meta Ads and Google Ads platform updates, algorithm changes, and best practices to maximize campaign effectiveness. Analytics & Reporting Compile and present clear monthly reports on social media engagement, content performance, audience growth, email metrics, and paid campaign results. Use analytics tools—including Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and social media platform insights—to track performance against goals and surface actionable insights. Monitor website traffic trends, lead sources, and audience behavior to inform content and campaign strategy. Provide data-driven recommendations to improve content, community growth, and campaign performance over time. Training Program Project Management Serve as project manager for Mayeda Consulting's training development initiatives, coordinating timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional tasks across internal team members and external collaborators. Coordinate logistics for training launches, including scheduling, material preparation, platform setup, and participant communications. Support the development and organization of training assets, including workbooks, digital downloads, certificates, and learning management system (LMS) content. Identify and flag project risks or delays early, proposing solutions to keep initiatives on track. Technical & Platform Operations Support backend setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of online platforms, digital community environments, and membership tools. Perform basic website edits and updates using HTML/CSS or CMS platforms (e.g., Wix, WordPress, Squarespace, or Webflow). Manage and maintain organized digital content libraries and resource folders, ensuring files and assets are consistently updated and accessible. Provide technical and logistical support for live events, webinars, and virtual experiences, including configuration, setup, and live event management. Support passive income infrastructure including digital product delivery, automated workflows, and online course or membership platform maintenance. General Support other marketing activities and special projects as needed. Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage digital file systems and project timelines. Experience in social media management, content planning, and digital marketing.
Proficient in social media platforms:
TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X. Skilled in video and audio editing tools (InShot, CapCut, Splice) and design platforms (Canva, Adobe Express). Experience managing or supporting paid digital advertising campaigns (Meta Ads, Google Ads, or similar). Familiarity with conversion optimization concepts, including CTR, cost per lead, A/B testing, and landing page performance. Strong copywriting skills with the ability to write for different audiences and platforms. Familiarity with marketing analytics tools and ability to interpret and report on data. Basic technical skills including website editing and familiarity with online community or membership platforms.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND KNOWLEDGE
At least one of the following: At least 1 year of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or a related role. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field. Experience running and optimizing paid ad campaigns with measurable lead generation or conversion results. Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, or Moz. Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, ConvertKit, or similar). Experience managing community platforms such as Circle or Discord. Familiarity with marketing budget tracking and reporting. Experience with passive income digital infrastructure (e.g., online courses, digital downloads, membership platforms). Basic
HTML/CSS
knowledge or experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow). Project management experience, particularly coordinating training programs or multi-stakeholder initiatives. Familiarity with podcast production and publishing processes. Experience managing live digital events, webinars, and virtual technical setups. Comfortable with AI tools and editing software such as Grammarly for content creation. Experience with content scheduling tools (Later, CoSchedule, Sprout Social, etc.). Slack Communication Software.
