Job Description

Type:
Part-time contractor (1099)
Hours:
~20-25 hrs/week to start
Location:
Hybrid. Remote for most of the work, plus regular on-site time at our properties in Bradley Beach, Spring Lake, and Point Pleasant Beach. On-site days are flexible but recurring, so you need to live close enough to be at the shore on short notice. The short version We run a small group of Jersey Shore brands: a boutique hospitality property, a coastal restaurant and bar, and a beachfront motel. Marketing and day-to-day admin keep stacking up, and right now too much of it lives on one desk. We want one person to take the recurring marketing and operations work and run it well, week after week. This is a hands-on role for someone who works the way we do: digitally native, fluent with AI, fast with the tools. The brand direction already exists, so this is not about reinventing strategy. It is about taking a documented process, running it on a steady cadence, and making it sharper as you go. In return you get a close look at how a working portfolio of hospitality and real estate actually runs, and the room to take on more as the work expands. How we think about the work If you know Will Guidara's Unreasonable Hospitality , you already get the spirit of this job. The whole point of being fast and efficient is to free up room for the human touch. So use AI to move quickly. We lean on Claude and ChatGPT every day and you will too. First drafts of captions, newsletters, and replies should take minutes. Then you spend the time you saved on the part that actually matters: the warmth, the judgment, the small specific detail that makes a guest or a reader feel like a real person is looking after them. Fast where speed helps, human where it counts. What you would do The work splits into two halves, and you would move between them every week. Marketing, a bit more than half the time 1 to 2 reels or posts a week for each brand, off a shared calendar 1 to 2 newsletters a month per brand in ConvertKit Capture content on site every week at our shore properties: photo, short video, the real moments that make a place feel alive Keep our online profiles current and correct Operations, a bit under half the time Work through inbound email across the brands: handle the routine, flag what needs the owner Answer guest messages in Cloudbeds and Hospitable for the two lodging brands, inside a set response window Pick up the back-office odds and ends that surface every week The role grows over time. Once the core work is running smoothly, there is room to take on more, including paid social and Google ads. We would build up to that together rather than starting there. Who this is for This role suits someone in the early part of their career who wants to learn fast and take on more as they prove themselves.
You probably fit if:
You write well and fast in short form, and you can tell the difference between copy that sounds like us and copy that sounds like a template You have a solid marketing foundation, whether from school, internships, or your own projects You are fluent with AI tools and treat them as a starting point, not the final word You can edit a clean reel in Canva, CapCut, or similar, and you know what looks right You can live in someone else's inbox and booking system without letting things slip You like systems. You follow a process and leave it better than you found it You show up consistently. Steady, dependable output beats the occasional brilliant week followed by silence. You can get to Bradley Beach, Spring Lake, and Point Pleasant Beach on a recurring basis Bonus points if you are into real estate investing, adaptive reuse, hospitality, or short-term rentals. A lot of what we do sits right at that intersection, and the more curious you are about it, the more you will get out of this. Tools we use You will work day to day in Canva, ConvertKit, Cloudbeds, Hospitable, Claude, and ChatGPT, plus the usual social platforms and Google Business profiles. You do not need to know all of these on day one. You do need to learn new tools quickly and without a lot of hand-holding. How we would start You will work with the operators and build a playbook for each recurring task: how a reel comes together for each brand, the newsletter rhythm and where the material comes from, the tone for guest replies and when to escalate. We run a paid trial for a few weeks so both sides can confirm the fit before committing to the long version. Pay $19 to $25 per hour, based on experience, with room to grow as you take on more. The bigger draw is the access: you would work closely with an operator running hospitality and real estate at the same time, and learn how all of it fits together.
Pay:
$19.00 - $25.00 per hour
Benefits:
Flexible schedule
