Job Description

Marketing and Sales Assistant Lexington, KY Job Details Part-time | Full-time $16 - $20 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Google Workspace Google Docs Sales Customer service Research Marketing Full Job Description We're hiring a Marketing & Sales Assistant. Part-time or Full-time. In-Office.
Who We Are:
BT Web Group is a 20+ year digital agency focusing on marketing, web development, software, video production, branding, and business growth strategy. We work with local and national small and medium-sized businesses that seek a dedicated team to outsource their needs for real impact.
Who We're Looking For:
We're looking for a Marketing & Sales Assistant to support our President and VP. The role spans a few areas: sales follow-up, client communication, social media, research, and general admin. It's not a "post to Instagram and sit back" role. Some days you'll be helping us follow up with a prospect who's close to signing. Other days you're coordinating with a client or putting together a report. You need to be comfortable with both. We're open to part-time or full-time, depending on who we find and how it goes. Either way, this is an in-office position in Lexington. What you'll do: Follow up with prospects and leads to help close them — this is one of the most important parts of the job Assist with managing and scheduling content across social media platforms Help with communication between clients, vendors, and the internal team Various research, reporting, and general admin tasks Skills we're looking for: 1-3 years of experience in marketing, sales support, customer service, or something similar Strong communication skills, written and verbal — you'll be talking to clients and prospects regularly Comfortable with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) Organized and reliable Professional but personable. We take the work seriously A self-starter — we'll train you on our custom tools and systems, but we want someone who is comfortable taking action after training.
Nice to have:
CRM experience. Canva or basic design tools. Agency background. Sales or customer service background. Basic SEO knowledge. Basic Sales Copywriting knowledge.
Pay and Benefits:
We understand the importance of pay and benefits to candidates, and we start from where the market is and adjust based on what you bring. If you turn out to be great at the sales follow-up side of things, that's worth more to us, and we're not shy about saying so. Pay is reviewed regularly and is based primarily on the results you can help us generate for our clients. When our clients do well, you do well.
Our starting range is:
$16-$20/hr depending on experience.
Why work here:
Small team (some remote, some in person) means you'll actually matter here, not get lost in a department. The work is varied — home services, aviation, legal, retail, SMB local business — no two weeks look the same. You'll learn how a real agency runs, how businesses make money, why some businesses succeed and fail, and how marketing and sales really impact the bottom line - directly from the people running it. Room to grow as we grow. Who this probably isn't for: If you're looking for a remote job, this isn't it. We're in office and we like it that way. If you need a lot of structure to stay productive, this will be frustrating. The work shifts, priorities change, and you're expected to keep up and pivot quickly as needed. If you're not comfortable talking to clients or prospects, that's a problem. This isn't a behind-the-scenes role — you'll be communicating with real people on behalf of the business. If you're still figuring out basic professional communication — emails, follow-ups, knowing when to reply and how — we're probably not the right first job. And if you're just looking for something to fill hours, we'll both figure that out pretty quickly. We're not looking for perfect. We're looking for someone who genuinely cares about others over themselves and shows up ready to work. To apply, send your resume and a short note listing all your skills related to this position. No lengthy cover letters needed — just tell us who you are and why this sounds like a fit. Bonus points if your note is professional and well-written. That tells us something, and we're looking for someone who stands out.
Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Work Location:
In person
