Job Description
The Membership and Marketing Coordinator is the primary lead in growing and retaining Chamber membership by processing member requests, introducing businesses to the value of joining, and building strong relationships that foster long-term engagement. This position is responsible for all aspects of the membership experience, including recruitment, retention, relationship management, and maintenance of membership records. In addition to membership responsibilities, this position develops and executes marketing initiatives that elevate the organization's brand, promote member businesses, and increase participation in programs, events, sponsorships, and community initiatives. The Membership and Marketing Coordinator also helps to plan and coordinate networking events, ribbon cuttings, grand openings, and other public-facing activities while serving as a professional ambassador for the organization and its members throughout the community. Responsibilities and Duties Recruit new members by reaching out through phone calls and in-person visits. Manage member onboarding, including data entry, communications, and CRM updates. Develop and foster ongoing relationships with Chamber members through member engagement and events. Visit current members to encourage further involvement and retention. Collaborate with the Executive Director to create membership recruitment and retention strategies, including introductory letters, programs, and communication efforts for memberships, sponsorships, and committees. Assist in creating, updating, and distributing marketing materials for the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce which may include email blasts, newsletters, social media, membership directories, letters, signage, website, and flyers. Identify opportunities for sponsorships, door prizes, and partnership opportunities. Develop and manage the Chamber's social media content calendar, daily posts and member features. Represent the Franklin County Chamber at events, meetings, and committees as needed. Provide event support, including set-up, registration, communication, photographing, maintaining records, and overseeing event details. Interact with visitors to the Chamber, including responding to phone calls and questions from the public, Chamber members, etc. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director.
