Job Description:
The Workforce Development Department (also known as Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas) is seeking a Marketing & Events Coordinator to support join the Community Engagement & External Affairs team of the North Central Texas Council of Governments. The Marketing & Events Coordinator is responsible for various projects including: Coordinate large-scale hiring events, the annual awards luncheon, employer events, webinars, and other organizational events from planning through execution. Manage the procurement process for event venues and vendors, ensuring logistics are handled efficiently. Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support activities and events. Support the development and distribution of e-newsletters in coordination with an external vendor. Develop awareness campaigns, publications, and communication materials to increase understanding of programs and services, working with vendors and partners as needed. Build and maintain positive relationships with community members, leaders, and partner organizations. Communicate the value of workforce services to community members and partners through in-person and digital channels, keeping messaging accurate and consistent. Conduct market research to identify gaps in program awareness and better understand target audiences. Compile and analyze data related to events and outreach efforts, using metrics and feedback to measure results and recommend improvements.
Desired Skills :
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, and Outlook. Knowledge of CRM and Constant Contact preferred. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred. Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented, organized, creative, and have the ability to handle multiple tasks and tight deadlines. Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
Required Education & Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or related area. Minimum of 1 year of related experience.

$59,390.00 - $70,080/year

Retirement NCTCOG participates in a defined contribution plan as an alternative to Social Security. The defined contribution retirement plan provides retirement benefits for all eligible employees. NCTCOG contributes twelve percent (12%) of permanent full-time employees' gross salaries. Participating employees contribute six percent (6%) of gross salary. An employee becomes forty percent (40%) vested in NCTCOG's contributions after three full years of employment. An additional fifteen percent {15%) is vested for each additional year of employment. An employee becomes fully vested after seven years of employment.
