Job Description
The UVU FinTech Center (UFTC) is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual to assist with the execution of student-led research projects, event planning, industry partnerships, and outreach initiatives. The Program Assistant will support day-to-day operations of the Center, including managing lecture series logistics, coordinating with FinTech and financial service companies, and helping implement interdisciplinary curriculum projects focused on AI, blockchain, data science, and financial planning technology. This is an excellent opportunity for students who are interested in business, finance, technology, education, and innovation (10-20 hours/week). Coordinate undergraduate and graduate student project teams working with industry partners. Assist in the planning and promotion of monthly FinTech lecture events and annual conferences. Help maintain partnerships with Utah-based FinTech and financial services companies. Track and document student involvement metrics (e.g., number of students hired, project completion rates). Support the development of FinTech certification and experiential learning opportunities. Promote Women in FinTech and assist with event execution and mentorship program coordination. Facilitate communication with university partners in Europe and Asia for global collaboration initiatives. Prepare promotional materials and reports to help demonstrate impact (e.g., number of students served, partnership outcomes, etc.). Maintain digital records, schedules, and logistics related to events, speakers, and collaborations. Must be a current UVU student. Must submit a resume and a brief cover letter explaining your interest in the role and any relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications Background in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field. Interest or experience in FinTech topics such as AI, blockchain, financial planning, or data analytics. Multicultural awareness and enthusiasm for cross-institutional partnerships. Strong communication and organizational skills. Comfortable with tools like Microsoft Office, Canva, Zoom, and Google Workspace. Ability to work independently and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
