Independent Contractor - Client Care Coordinator / Marketing Coordinator /
Referral Specialist Location:
Northern Virginia (Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, Arlington, Alexandria, and surrounding areas)
Contract Term:
Initial 3-Month Contract (with opportunity for long-term employment)
Compensation:
Negotiable based on experience. Bonus is also offered after each client signs in for services when lead comes from these marketing events. It will be discussed during interview. About the Opportunity We are a growing non-medical home care agency seeking a motivated and professional contractor to support the agency during its growth phase. This position requires flexibility and the ability to wear multiple hats as business needs evolve. The ideal candidate is outgoing, professional, comfortable working with seniors and families, and familiar with American culture, community engagement, and relationship-building within Northern Virginia. As the agency grows and reaches approximately 10 active clients for this project, responsibilities may decrease and transition into a posibility of specialized part-time or full-time role. Primary ResponsibilitiesCommunity Outreach & Marketing Attend senior community events, health fairs, and networking events alongside agency leadership. Present and promote non-medical home care services to seniors, families, and community organizations. Build relationships with local senior centers, community groups, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, and healthcare professionals. Represent the agency professionally within the community. Client Care Coordination Meet with prospective clients and families in person or virtually. Explain agency services, pricing, and care options. Assist families with understanding available care programs and resources. Schedule initial nurse assessments and client intake appointments. Conduct follow-up calls with prospective clients and referral sources. Referral Development Develop and maintain relationships with: Hospitals Rehabilitation centers Case managers Social workers Discharge planners Physicians' offices Assisted living communities Senior organizations Track referral opportunities and maintain referral relationships. Social Media & Online Presence Assist with creating and managing content for: Facebook Instagram LinkedIn Google Business Profile Create educational and promotional content related to home care services. Assist with community engagement and online marketing efforts. Help improve the agency's local visibility and brand awareness. Caregiver Recruitment & Support Participate in caregiver interviews via Zoom or in person. Assist with onboarding and orientation processes. Support caregiver training coordination. Help ensure caregivers are prepared before being assigned to client cases. Maintain professional communication with caregivers and staff. QualificationsRequired Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal). Strong understanding of American culture and professional business communication. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Comfortable speaking with seniors, families, and healthcare professionals. Reliable transportation for local travel throughout Northern Virginia. Basic computer proficiency including email, Zoom, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace. Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Experience in:
Home care Healthcare Senior services Customer service Sales or marketing Community outreach Case management Social media marketing experience. Knowledge of Medicaid waiver programs and home care services. Growth Opportunity This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping build a business from the ground up. During the first three months, the contractor will support multiple functions to help grow the agency. As client volume increases, the role may transition into a dedicated position such as: Client Care Coordinator Marketing Coordinator Referral Specialist Community Outreach Coordinator Operations Coordinator with the possibility of becoming a long-term part-time or full-time team member.
