Job Description

Assistant Decor
  • Weddings & Events (Part-Time / Seasonal) We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Assistant Decor team member to support the setup and breakdown of weddings and events throughout the year.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in executing beautiful event designs with precision. Position Overview The Assistant Decor team member will assist with the physical setup, styling, and breakdown of event décor. This includes arranging tables, chairs, linens, floral elements, and decorative details according to specific design plans. Schedule & Availability Approximately 30 weddings/events per year (heaviest in April
  • June and Sept-Nov) Must be available to work weekends Typical shifts include:
Morning Setup:
9:00 AM
  • 3:00
PM Evening Breakdown:
9:00 PM
  • 1:00 AM Schedule will vary depending on event needs and whether there is a wedding the following day Key Responsibilities Set up ceremony and reception décor according to detailed instructions Break down and properly store décor after events Carry, move, and arrange décor items (tables, chairs, signage, etc.
) Ensure all décor is placed accurately and consistently with design plans Maintain organization of décor inventory and storage areas Work efficiently as part of a team to meet tight event timelines Requirements Must be reliable and punctual , especially for weekend events Ability to follow detailed directions with precision Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying décor items and being on your feet for extended periods Positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed Prior event or wedding experience is a plus, but not required Ideal Candidate Enjoys behind-the-scenes work bringing events to life Works well under time constraints without sacrificing quality Takes pride in creating clean, polished, and consistent setups
