• Friday, 8am-5pm | Alternating Saturdays during peak season (April-May, October-November) About the Company We're hiring a Senior Sales Representative for a well-established wholesale nursery that has been growing and supplying the Mid-Atlantic region since the 1970s.

With five distribution locations across Southeast Virginia and Northeast North Carolina, this company serves garden centers, landscape contractors, and Class-A builders who depend on them season after season. The Opportunity You'll cultivate strong customer relationships across a defined territory with an established book of business. This is not a cold-call, new-logo-hunting position. It's a relationship role; one where your ability to advise customers, understand their needs, and speak fluently about plant material will matter far more than any sales script. You'll join a sales team and report to the Sales Manager. The right person here is someone who genuinely loves plants, enjoys working with landscape professionals and garden center buyers, and finds satisfaction in being the expert customers call when they have a question. What You'll Do Manage and grow relationships with existing wholesale accounts across a defined territory Advise customers on plant selection, availability, sizing, substitutions, and seasonal planning Develop new customer accounts in alignment with company growth goals Handle inquiries, orders, and issues with responsiveness and care Prepare weekly sales activity reports and assist in seasonal forecasting Coordinate with shipping and operations teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment Represent the company at select trade shows throughout the year What We're Looking For 2-5 years of inside sales, account management, or procurement experience

• ideally in horticulture, nursery, greenhouse, or agriculture Genuine plant knowledge: you can talk about species, growing cycles, seasonal availability, and care without needing to look it up Consultative approach
