Job Description :

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sports Cards Specialist to join our team. As a specialist, you will be responsible for leveraging your knowledge of sports and sports cards to assist in buying and selling activities. Your expertise will contribute to the growth and success of our company and ensure a positive experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth research on sports card market trends and player performance. Evaluate the condition, authenticity, and market value of sports cards, memorabilia, and collectibles. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sports industry news, athlete performances, and card grading standards. Collaborate with internal teams to develop effective marketing and sales strategies for sports cards and memorabilia. Build and maintain relationships with collectors, dealers, and industry professionals. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, appraisals, and recommendations. Stay informed about new product releases and industry developments.

Requirements:

In-depth knowledge of various sports, including player statistics, teams, and historical trends. Strong understanding of sports cards market dynamics, grading standards, and pricing factors. Proven experience in buying and selling sports cards, memorabilia, or collectibles. Familiarity with online marketplaces, auction platforms, and sports card grading companies. Excellent research and analytical skills to identify market trends and assess card values. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently, make informed decisions, and meet sales targets. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in appraisals, inventory management, and financial records. Passion for sports and an eagerness to stay updated with industry developments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working in a sports card shop, collectibles store, or related industry. Familiarity with card grading services such as PSA, Beckett, CGC, or SGC. Pay will start between $17.13 and $20 an hour and will go up after a 3 month review based on your performance.
