Job Description
Job Overview We're looking for a dependable, hard-working morning associate to open the venue and get it ready for weekend events. This role is physically demanding and requires someone who is comfortable with hands-on labor early in the morning, followed by friendly, professional interaction with clients and vendors as they arrive. Duties Arrive and open the venue at 7:30 AM on Fridays and Saturdays Warmly welcome clients as they arrive for their event day Set up tables and chairs for the event (typically 20-40 tables and 200-400 chairs), including moving, arranging, and breaking down as needed Check in and greet vendors (florists, caterers, rental companies, etc.) as they arrive to set up, and direct them appropriately Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and venue staff throughout the morning Report any issues, damage, or missing items to management promptlyPrepare event spaces by setting up furniture, decorations, and equipment according to event specifications Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move furniture or supplies safely and efficiently Physical Requirements Ability to repeatedly lift and carry tables and chairs (individual pieces may weigh 15-40+ lbs) Comfortable with sustained physical activity — bending, lifting, and walking for several hours Ability to stand and move continuously for shifts lasting up to 6-7 hours Qualifications Prior customer service or hospitality experience preferred Professional, friendly demeanor — this person is often the first face clients and vendors see on event day Reliable and punctual; comfortable with an early 7:30 AM start Physically fit and genuinely comfortable with manual labor Able to work independently and take initiative once given setup instructions
