Job Description
Description The Demand Planning Senior Supply Chain Manager ultimately solves the questions of (1) how do we make our shipping services best in class, (2) how do we offer our shipping services to more customers, and (3) how do we optimize network to remove constraints and increase speed. The Demand Planning Supply Chain Manager works across the organization in a cross-functional environment with Operations, Product, and Tech teams to define the needs, goals, and execution plans to create a world class transportation network. They maintain and report up to date and accurate statistics, management reports, and analysis. They also facilitate the flow of information between different stakeholders and resolves any potential issues that impact customer experience and business continuity. The Senior Supply Chain Manager also provides timely resolution to issues by researching and querying internal tools and by making real-time decisions. An ideal candidate should be able to act as a single threaded leader for end-to-end processes, understand the requirements, analyze data and notice trends, and be able to drive Customer Experience without compromising on time. This role requires the ability to partner cross-functional, dive deep into large and complex datasets with strong SQL proficiency/AI leveraging capabilities to extract actionable insights from multi-dimensional supply chain data. The successful candidate must demonstrate comfort working with enterprise-scale databases to analyze volume forecasts, capacity planning metrics, and operational performance across the network. Additionally, this position demands the ability to work cross-functionally across multiple teams-including Operations, Product, Tech, Finance, and Business Development-to drive quick execution on critical initiatives and accelerate decision-making in dynamic operational environments. In this position, you will at minimum (a) Own 1-13 week demand planning for AMZL network, (b) identify technical integration opportunities and keep track of product initiatives, (c) Build scalable mechanisms to strengthen commercial partnerships, including owning cross-functional alignments, daily shipper communications, and demand volatility bridging to ensure operational resilience, and (d) Establish continuous improvement frameworks through weekly operational bridging, maintaining close collaboration with operations teams to drive feedback loops and process optimization. This position requires ability to program manage multiple workstreams, and working with partner teams across various supply chain functions like transportation, engineering, launch, finance, and operational planning. This position will also require working with business teams such as Revenue Management, Business Development, and Commercial. This role is a high visibility role as it requires regular interaction with leadership team and involves in critical decision making. Finally, this position will help develop sustainable and standard mechanisms and process to drive further automation. Key job responsibilities
- Work with partner teams across various supply chain functions like transportation, engineering, launch, finance, and operational planning (under the roof and on-road)
- Leverage historical data to create forward looking planning models to integrate in partnership with business teams
- Utilize problem-solving skills to work through difficult challenges
- Provide forecast and work with downstream & upstream stakeholders, such as Amazon Logistics (AMZL) and North America Sort Center (NASC), to plan for capacity
- Collaborate with AMZL and NASC to drive capacity decisions such as hiring, vehicle procurement and onboarding Delivery Service Partners
- Improve demand forecast and route planning accuracy
- Drive commingling opportunities to improve shipments per route and overall cost per unit
- Integrate reverse-logistics demand with existing Amazon Shipping Operations demand
- Present data-driven proposals and plans to Sr. Leadership

- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- 2+ years of supply chain experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
