Job Description

Summary The Sales Director is responsible for the development, implementation, and follow-up of a sales plan that will create opportunities for the proliferation of the company's products and services to commercial airline operators. Core Responsibilities + Cultivate successful customer relationships that focus on mutual benefit, maximize the partnership potential, and drive to consistently meet or exceed customer expectations + Act as the primary point of contact for each appointed customer, and be a customer advocate for them within the organization + Visit customers on a regular basis + Develop well-organized, informative proposals in response to customer requests. Solicit and coordinate other internal resources when needed or desired + Develop and present detailed product and system presentations + Manage product/services mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims + Forecast product requirements for each customer on a monthly basis + Communicate, liaise and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships + Lead customer contract negotiations and coordinate other internal resources as necessary + Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information + Attend trade shows and seminars, demonstrate products, articulate competitive benefit of company products and services + Seek out new sales and growth opportunities for the company + Represent the company during negotiations and offsite sales meetings and advise management of outcome and next steps •Requirements•+ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field + 10+ years of experience working in a similar role or 5 years of experience in sales/business development in the IFE/Aerospace industry and 5 years of engineering experience + Aerospace (IFE, Cabin Interiors, or Aviation) Sales or Marketing or Business development experience + Established relationships within the Aerospace industry + Experience with CRM tool + Good understanding of the IFE competitive landscape, products and systems + Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) +
Travel:
Some local, domestic and international travel will be required •Benefits•The starting pay range for this position is $150,000 - $169,000 per year however, the base pay offered may vary depending on the level of the position, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
