This role plays a critical part in expanding the firm's client base, increasing market share, and strengthening its reputation as a trusted financial partner. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for prospective clients, aligning client needs with tailored accounting, tax, audit, and advisory solutions. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute business development strategies to generate new client opportunities Prospect and qualify leads through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and industry events Conduct discovery meetings to assess client needs and identify appropriate service solutions Prepare and deliver tailored proposals in collaboration with internal accounting and advisory teams Manage and maintain an accurate, active sales pipeline within the CRM system Negotiate terms and close new business agreements Build and maintain strong client relationships to support retention and cross-selling opportunities Represent the firm at networking events, conferences, and community engagements Provide regular reporting on sales performance, forecasts, and KPIs Performs other related duties as assigned Skills and Competencies Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Proven ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers Excellent negotiation and closing skills Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Effective time management and organizational skills High level of resilience, motivation, and accountability Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, or a related field preferred Minimum of 2-3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably within professional or financial services Demonstrated success in achieving or exceeding sales targets Experience using CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) Work Environment and Physical Requirements Office-based work environment with regular travel to client locations and industry events Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer Ability to lift and carry materials up to 20 lbs. High level of interaction with clients, prospects, and internal team members Compensation and Benefits Compensation In compliance with California law, the expected compensation range for this position is: $70,000-$90,000 Base + Uncapped Commission (
Top Performers:
$120K-$180K+ Total Compensation) Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and performance. This position is eligible for variable incentive compensation under the Company's commission plan. Commission Plan Disclosure This role participates in a commission-based incentive compensation program designed to reward achievement of sales and revenue targets. Commission eligibility, calculation methods, payment timing, and performance criteria will be outlined in a separate written commission plan provided to the employee upon hire. All commissions are considered earned only when defined conditions are satisfied, including execution of the client agreement and receipt of payment by the Company, in accordance with the terms of the commission plan and applicable California law. Commission payments may be subject to adjustments for items such as client non-payment, refunds, or contract changes, as detailed in the plan.
