Global Power Tool Manufacturer seeking a
Sales Manager Position Description Overview:
Major global hand tool, power tool, power equipment and shop equipment supplier selling both branded as well as private branded products is looking for a Manager of Sales- responsible for the Company's Distribution in the United States. While the position can be anywhere in the USA that allows ease of travel nationally and internationally, eventual relocation to our Cypress, CA headquarters is preferred. Reports to the Vice President.
Responsibilities:
Direct and manage sales activities to achieve the required sales results and maintain expenses as required. Work closely with various Rep groups to maximize opportunities with customers. Budget sales, margins and expenses and manage business and be responsible for its P&L. Review market to determine customers' needs, volume potential, and price schedules. Review customer's competitive assortments and look for placement opportunities for the company's products. Provide guidance and feedback to Product Development and Marketing Departments on market conditions, opportunities and product sell through. Prepare and conduct customer presentations. Have the ability to qualify the customer's needs through a thorough understanding of their business and ability to ask the right questions and get information. Know and analyze competitors and be very familiar with the current and potential customer base. Work closely with inside sales coordinators, act as a liaison between customers, sales department and other departments. Represent the Company at customer events as well as regional and national trade shows. Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements, Education, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing or related field 5 years of selling experience. Manufacturing preferred Strong relationship building skills. Solid knowledge of the channels of distribution. 40 - 50% travel required both domestically, with the potential of some international travel, wherever the customers' buying decisions are made and required regular travels to company's California headquarter office. #LI-JZ1
