District Manager Hanford, CA 93230 Apply Overview Salary Range $83,200.00 - $100,000.00 Salary Apply Description GSP Cakes is a franchisor for Nothing Bundt Cakes , committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences through operational excellence, strong leadership, and high-quality products. We are seeking an experienced and results-driven District Manager to oversee our Central California region. Join a growing, people-first organization and be part of an amazing team. Position Summary The District Manager (DM) is responsible for leading and supporting multiple bakery locations within the assigned district to achieve financial, operational, and people-related goals. This role oversees Store Managers and is accountable for sales growth, labor and food cost control, operational compliance, team development, and brand standards. The District Manager regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in managing district operations, staffing decisions, and performance outcomes. The majority of time is spent supervising, directing, coaching, and developing leaders and team members to deliver an outstanding guest experience. Essential Duties & Responsibilities The following duties are representative but not exhaustive: Financial & Operational Leadership Accountable for the district meeting financial targets established by GSP Cakes, LLC, including sales, labor costs, food costs, and controllable expenses. Monitor, analyze, and proactively manage variable operating expenses to maximize profitability. Ensure accurate cash handling, financial controls, and timely completion of required financial reports. Oversee inventory management, production levels, waste control, and prevention of unauthorized giveaways while maintaining product quality. Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly physical inventories. Review and approve vendor invoices as needed and submit for payment per company procedures. People Leadership & Talent Development Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, coach, develop, discipline, and terminate employees within the district. Directly manage and support Store Managers; set clear expectations and hold leaders accountable for results. Make or recommend employment decisions including promotions, demotions, wage increases, and terminations. Ensure timekeeping accuracy and compliance for all district employees. Foster a positive, respectful, and performance-driven workplace culture. Brand Standards, Safety & Compliance Ensure strict adherence to company policies, brand standards, uniform requirements, and appearance guidelines. Oversee safety, security, and asset protection across the district. Ensure all equipment and facilities are properly maintained, cleaned, and serviced according to manufacturer and company standards. Provide guidance on equipment care, maintenance, and repairs. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA, EPA, EEO, ADA, and California-specific employment laws. Maintain operational and personnel records as directed by the corporate office. Marketing & Growth Execute company-directed promotional, marketing, advertising, and public relations initiatives. Recommend and implement approved local marketing strategies and incentives. Recommend pricing strategies and special offers; execute upon approval. Administrative & Other Responsibilities Ensure timely completion and submission of all required reports and documentation. Perform all duties safely and in accordance with company guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience managing multiple quick-service restaurants or bakery locations . Proven experience coaching, developing, and leading teams in a retail or food service environment. Strong financial acumen and operational leadership skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements & Physical Demands Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and perform repetitive hand and arm motions for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal) for safety and operational purposes. Ability to assess product quality using taste, sight, and smell. Occasional long hours in compliance with applicable state and federal laws. Licenses & Certifications Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. ServSafe certification required (must obtain within 30 days if not current). Food Handler Permit as required by local regulations. Compliance with all local Health Department requirements.
