This role is responsible for developing relationships with police departments, sheriff's offices, state agencies, federal agencies, public safety organizations, and government fleet operators. The successful candidate will generate qualified opportunities, coordinate vehicle demonstrations and evaluations, support agency procurement efforts, and help agencies modernize their fleets through innovative vehicle solutions. The ideal candidate has a proven track record selling products or services directly to law enforcement agencies and public safety organizations. Candidates with experience in police vehicles, emergency vehicle equipment, vehicle upfitting, fleet solutions, public safety technology, communications systems, or related industries are strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Law Enforcement Business Development Develop and maintain relationships with Chiefs of Police, Sheriffs, Command Staff, Fleet Managers, Procurement Officers, Training Coordinators, and other public safety decision-makers. Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within law enforcement agencies, public safety organizations, municipalities, counties, state agencies, and federal agencies. Execute strategic outreach campaigns to generate vehicle demonstrations, evaluations, pilot programs, and fleet deployment opportunities. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities through consistent prospecting, relationship development, and follow-up activities. Represent UP.FIT as a trusted resource within the public safety community. Vehicle Demonstrations & Agency Engagement Coordinate and support vehicle demonstrations, ride-and-drive events, fleet evaluations, and agency presentations. Identify and secure host agencies for regional demonstration and EVOC events. Attend industry conferences, trade shows, fleet events, association meetings, and public safety gatherings to expand market awareness and generate opportunities. Work closely with agency stakeholders to understand operational requirements and deployment objectives. Public Safety Fleet Consulting Understand agency fleet replacement cycles, procurement requirements, budget processes, and operational priorities. Assist agencies in evaluating vehicle performance, operational benefits, and total cost of ownership. Support proposal development, budgeting discussions, and long-term fleet planning initiatives. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are accurately communicated and supported. Market Intelligence & Strategic Growth Monitor trends in law enforcement, public safety fleets, vehicle technology, and government procurement. Identify upcoming procurement opportunities, funding initiatives, and fleet modernization programs. Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to support product development and business strategy. Contribute to the continued growth of UP.FIT's national public safety footprint. CRM & Reporting Maintain accurate activity records, opportunity updates, and pipeline forecasts within company CRM systems. Provide regular updates on territory performance, market developments, and key customer initiatives. Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience selling products or services directly to law enforcement agencies, public safety organizations, government fleets, municipalities, counties, state agencies, or federal agencies. Demonstrated success generating meetings, demonstrations, evaluations, pilots, or sales opportunities within law enforcement or public-sector accounts. Strong understanding of public-sector sales cycles, relationship-based selling, and government procurement processes. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously. Experience utilizing CRM platforms and sales productivity tools. Willingness to travel throughout the United States. Valid U.S. Driver's License. Preferred Qualifications Experience selling police vehicles, emergency vehicles, specialty fleet vehicles, or vehicle upfitting solutions. Experience selling public safety technology, communications systems, fleet management solutions, in-car technology, body-worn camera systems, software platforms, or related law enforcement products. Existing relationships within law enforcement agencies, sheriff's offices, state police organizations, public safety associations, or government fleet communities. Familiarity with cooperative purchasing contracts, RFP processes, state purchasing schedules, and public-sector procurement practices. Prior experience within law enforcement, military, emergency services, fleet management, or government operations. Knowledge of electric vehicles, fleet electrification, or charging infrastructure.
