Business Development Manager AV Transportation Services - Full Time On-Site Position About Us AV Transportation Services (AVTS) is a leader in delivering innovative and reliable transportation solutions across multiple sectors — including Public Transit, Private Charter, Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT), Non-Medical, and Commercial Services. With a commitment to safety, service quality, and community impact, we are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to accelerate our growth and strengthen our market presence. Position Overview We are looking for a results-driven Business Development Manager with proven expertise in transportation and mobility services. This role will be responsible for identifying and securing new contract opportunities, cultivating strong partnerships, and driving strategic growth initiatives across multiple transportation markets. The ideal candidate will combine industry knowledge with strong relationship-building skills to expand AVTS's contract portfolio and position the company as a trusted leader in mobility solutions. Key Responsibilities Contract Development & Growth Develop and execute a strategic plan focused on identifying, pursuing, and winning new transportation contracts. Expand AVTS's presence by cultivating opportunities with public agencies, healthcare providers, private organizations, and commercial partners. Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, contract openings, and emerging areas for expansion. Position AVTS competitively in bids and negotiations to maximize contract growth. Partnership & Relationship Management Build and maintain long-term relationships with decision-makers, stakeholders, and community leaders in the transportation sector. Act as the primary representative for AVTS when engaging with agencies, organizations, and potential partners. Collaborate with internal teams (operations, compliance, and leadership) to ensure proposed solutions meet client and contract requirements. Strategic Networking & Industry Engagement Actively network with individuals, agencies, and organizations to increase AVTS's visibility and secure contract opportunities. Represent AVTS at transportation conferences, industry events, and community forums to build recognition and strengthen partnerships. Develop proposals, RFP responses, and presentations that effectively highlight AVTS's capabilities and value. Operational Excellence & Reporting Track and analyze contract pipeline metrics, providing regular updates and forecasts to senior leadership. Monitor industry regulations and ensure all bids, proposals, and contracts comply with requirements. Provide input into innovation initiatives and service improvements that align with market demands and client needs.
Qualifications Required :
Minimum 5 years of proven business development or sales leadership experience, preferably in the transportation, mobility, or related industries. Strong record of achieving sales targets and driving measurable revenue growth. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Knowledge of transportation contracts, RFP processes, and compliance standards. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred :
Experience developing accounts in Public Transit, NEMT, or Commercial Transportation sectors. Leadership experience in managing sales or marketing teams. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Transportation, or related field.
Compensation & Benefits Salary Range:
