Membership & Strategic Partnerships Manager San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce San Jose, CA | Full-Time | In-Person Reports to: Chief of Staff to CEO About the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce The San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce is the voice of business in the greater San Jose region, representing a diverse membership of businesses across industries, sizes, and stages of growth. Position Summary The Chamber seeks an experienced, relationship-driven professional to lead membership growth, sponsorship development, and execution of the organization's largest revenue-generating initiatives. This role serves as a key member of the Chamber team, working closely with the CEO, Chief of Staff, Board leadership, and volunteers to implement membership and sponsorship strategies, cultivate strategic partnerships, and execute signature events. Revenue Growth & Membership Development
- Implement the Chamber's membership growth strategy with leadership and volunteers.
- Develop and manage a consistent prospecting pipeline for new members.
- Identify membership upgrades, sponsorships, and engagement opportunities.
- Build relationships with CEOs, executives, business owners, and community leaders.
- Support member conversion strategies and staff the Membership Committee.
- Track and report membership and revenue performance. Strategic Partnerships & Sponsorship Development
- Lead sponsorship sales and fulfillment.
- Develop sponsorship packages and outreach plans.
- Cultivate, solicit, steward, and retain sponsors.
- Ensure sponsors receive exceptional service and ROI.
- Maintain communication with Impact Investors and key partners.
- Expand sponsorship offerings and non-dues revenue. Signature Event Leadership
- Lead planning and execution of the Annual Dinner and Annual BBQ.
- Coordinate consultants, vendors, sponsors, volunteers, Board members, and staff.
- Manage timelines, communications, registration, fulfillment, and stakeholder engagement.
- Measure attendance, revenue, expenses, and net proceeds. Revenue Operations & Relationship Management
- Maintain accurate CRM (GrowthZone) records and forecasts.
- Monitor billing, renewals, and account management.
- Support development of membership and sponsorship collateral.
- Represent the Chamber at community events.
- Collaborate across staff, Board leadership, and volunteers. Success Measures

- Strong member and stakeholder relationships Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years in membership, sponsorship, fundraising, business development, chamber or association management.
- Demonstrated success generating revenue and building executive relationships.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Canva/design experience preferred.
- Project and event management experience.
- CRM proficiency required; GrowthZone preferred.
- Highly organized with strategic and execution skills. Team & Work Environment
