San Marcos, CA Job Details Full-time $70,000 - $75,000 a year 2 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Sunset Distributing is seeking a talented and self-motivated employee for a leadership position in our sales department. This position is responsible for overseeing the activities of a designated number of Account Sales Representatives in a specific geographic territory, ensuring their efforts yield maximum sales and distribution results, and providing quality service to all customers within the assigned territory. The Area Sales Manager is expected to provide the necessary training and supervision for each Account Sales Representative to ensure their success and meet the Company's standards. The Area Sales Manager is also expected to effectively implement Company programs and policies in a manner that results in achieving sales volume and merchandising goals, while presenting the Company's brands to retailers and consumers. Respond, investigate, and resolve all retailer questions or issues. Maintain retail call frequency as established by Sunset Distributing's policy. Schedule and conduct team meetings and ride-alongs as needed. Develop and execute required marketing programs, including retailer entertainment, sales promotions, consumer sampling, and merchandising. Participate in evening and weekend promotions as necessary. Ensure compliance with all applicable legal guidelines, the Wholesaler Equity Agreement, Distributing's standards, and policies. Introduce and sell new brands and packages, including activities to support sell-through, as necessary. Communicate with all division departments as necessary. Knowledge of all routes and accounts on the team with the ability to cover sales responsibilities as needed. A high school diploma or GED certificate is required. Bachelor's degree in sales or marketing preferred. 5 years of sales experience with increased responsibilities. Supervisory experience preferred. Valid Driver's License. Safe driving record. Possess the ability to lift, load, unload, and move products weighing up to 165 lbs., as well as hang merchandising materials. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Project a friendly, courteous, and professional image. Well-developed computer skills with the Microsoft Office suite. Highly self-motivated and result-oriented. Excellent internal and external customer service. Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
