3-5 years About Us Greenfish Cafeteria, located in Stanford University's Clark Center, is open to the public and offers a wide variety of cuisines crafted by specialty chefs. Along with daily dining, we provide full-service catering for campus events, conferences, and receptions, serving groups of 20 to 2,000 with exceptional care and hospitality. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, thoughtfully prepared meals that celebrate and reflect the diversity of the Stanford community. Position Overview Greenfish Cafeteria is seeking an experienced and motivated Sales & Business Development Representative to help expand our cafeteria and catering business. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in sales, client relationship management, and hospitality or food service business development. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with campus departments and external clients, promoting our cafeteria and catering services, and helping increase overall sales revenue. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute sales strategies to grow Greenfish Cafeteria's catering and cafeteria business. Identify and pursue new business opportunities with Stanford departments, campus organizations, local businesses, and event planners. Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients. Promote catering services for meetings, conferences, receptions, and special events. Respond to inquiries, prepare proposals, and follow up with potential customers. Collaborate with the operations and culinary teams to ensure client needs are met. Track leads, sales activity, and client communications. Represent Greenfish Cafeteria professionally and positively in all client interactions. Support marketing efforts for cafeteria promotions, catering packages, and seasonal offerings. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in sales, business development, hospitality, catering, food service, or a related field. Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Experience selling catering, cafeteria services, hospitality services, or event-related services is preferred. Ability to identify new opportunities and convert leads into clients. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple client requests. Professional, friendly, and customer-service focused. Comfortable working with internal teams to coordinate client needs and event details. Knowledge of Stanford University or campus-based food service is a plus, but not required.
