Director of Sales & Marketing 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars 1000 Powers Court, Turlock, CA 95380 $22 an hour - Full-time Candlewood Suites Hotel 1,521 reviews $22 an hour - Full-time Job Overview Candlewood Suites Turlock is seeking an energetic, results-driven Director of Sales to lead the hotel's sales efforts and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in hotel sales, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities within the local and regional markets. This position is responsible for increasing occupancy, generating revenue, maintaining key client relationships, and promoting the hotel to corporate, government, healthcare, education, sports, and group travel segments. Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals. Prospect, solicit, and secure new business through outside sales calls, networking, and community involvement. Maintain and grow relationships with existing accounts. Conduct hotel tours and client presentations. Respond to RFPs and negotiate corporate, group, and extended-stay contracts. Manage local negotiated rate (LNR) accounts and key business partnerships. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities for growth. Collaborate with hotel leadership to maximize occupancy and revenue. Maintain accurate sales records and activity tracking. Represent the hotel at local business and community events. Participate in revenue management and forecasting discussions. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of hotel sales experience required. Extended-stay hotel experience is a plus. Strong prospecting and business development skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities. Self-motivated and capable of working independently. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel sales systems. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local sales calls. Knowledge of the Turlock, Modesto, Merced, and Central Valley markets preferred. What We're Looking For A motivated sales professional who enjoys building relationships.
