Catering Sales Manager Mount Dora, FL 32757 Full-time Full-time The historic Lakeside Inn, a full-service hotel located in downtown Mount Dora, is seeking a Sales Representative who provides excellent customer service while working closely with fellow team members to create lasting impressions. The candidate should have a food & beverage background, allowing them to understand the overall operation of catering. Must be mature-minded, dependable, professional, and willing to learn new things.
Job Summary:
Meet with prospective clients on the phone or on the property working closely with the sales team and guests to meet their group needs. Create contracts within Caterease for prospective clients. Set up client groups in IQWare. Take advance deposits and final payments as outlined on Group Contracts. Follow up on final counts prior to the event date. Print and post invoices for group events on the day of the event. Keep a wall calendar up to date and keep information for Front Desk reference current.Education and Experience Required:
Experience in Food & Beverage Experience in Administrative work Knowledge of Banquet Operations Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and writtenGeneral Requirements:
- Increase hotel profitability.
- Field sales leads/calls/inquiries in a timely, professional manner, and provide detailed information by phone and email regarding all aspects of booking an event at the hotel, from start to finish.
- Establish strategic sales goals to meet or exceed budget.
- Conduct site tours while negotiating services and prices.
- Create detailed contracts, collect, and process payments, post invoices, maintain accurate event records.
- Partner with Sales Team, Front Desk, Banquets, and Food & Beverage teams to exceed overall customer expectations.
- Solve conflicts that may arise during the selling and planning process.
- Attend weekly staff meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
